ÀÚ¼¼ÇÑ ³»¿ëÀº ¾Æ·¡ ¿ø¹®À» Âü°íÇØ ÁÖ¼¼¿ä. Dear all, I would like to inform you the result of the 2013 International Black-faced Spoonbill Census. After a big boost in the previous year, we have a slight increase of the total number of Black-faced Spoonbill this year. We recorded a total of 2,725 individuals, having an increase of 1.2% (32 individuals) relative to the previous year (2,693 individuals). The figure keeps rising and it is a new high figure for the species. Tainan area is still the largest wintering site of Black-faced Spoonbill with a number of 1,593 individuals. And the whole Taiwan contributed to around 60% of the total wintering population. The figures of mainland China and Taiwan increased while the figures of Deep Bay (Hong Kong and Shenzhen) and Japan decreased. Numbers of Black-faced Spoonbills recorded in different areas are as follows: Taiwan: 1,624 (1,562 in 2012, increase 4%) Mainland China (including Hainan): 363 (328 in 2012, increase 11%) Deep Bay (Hong Kong and Shenzhen): 351 (393 in 2012, decrease 11%) Japan: 277 (284 in 2012, decrease 3%) Macao: 48 (51 in 2012, decrease 6%) Vietnam: 39 (35 in 2012, increase 11%) South Korea: 23 (40 in 2012, decrease 43%) Cambodia: 0 (none recorded during in 2012 census) Thailand: ? (none recorded during 2012 census) I would like to thank all the surveyors to participate the census in this year. This census could not be that successful if volunteer surveyors did not offer helps.
